Great Idea
I love the theory behind this invention. Basically, it is an add on that people can put in the vending machine rooms in their office which can almost cut in half th energy used by each vending machine on a monthly basis, all while still keeping the food items at the correct temperature! It does this by several means, including only measuring the temperature of the room and only cooling in response to that, by sensing when there are people in the room and turning on to reflect that etc. It is really a great idea.
If you are in the market for new vending machines, get Energy Star ones - they are still more efficient. If however you are not about to drop thousands of dollars on new vending machines, drop $200 on this thing - it will pay for itself within a year, and maybe much faster depending on how many machines you have (1 unit can power 4 machines if they are in the same room).
