I have two cats and this litter is the greatest. Makes them smell like lavendar and I think it helps calm them. If you have cute little kitties, you know what an obnoxious smell they can produce. Because it is so effective you can use it till its almost all used up. I have two boxes I clean out daily and can get a month out of a large bag of litter. I hate waste so this makes a lot of sense. Yes, it is pricey, especially since I have to have it shipped, but its worth every penny. . I've also mixed it with wheatscoop, sometimes, to extend it. Love that lavendar litter.
I'm ashamed to think I was throwing cat litter in landfills for the last 8 years. But there is an alternative - flushable litters. It's one thing to find an eco-friendly cat litter, it's another to find one safe for your pet. I was searching for both. After reading of the risks of the pine litter, and clumping clay-based litters, I finally found the corncob. It's great to think corncobs are getting recycled, and that it is safe to flush down our toilets. I love that this litter is also safer for my cats. The dust that caused my cat's sneezing fits previously is virtually eliminated. This litter is very light, and multicolored, so it appears to last longer, and doesn't track as much. It clumps well, if not as good, as the clay-based varieties, but I'll accept that. The odor is also virtually gone as it has a slight lavender fragrance. My cats finally accepted it, so let your cats try some, and start flushing. One less point for plastic packaging.
