quality and responsibility never go out of style

So I finally got a pair of the Vintage Straight Levi's Eco, and the price was like $65, which in my opinion is completely reasonable, especially given that I thought they'd run for like $150, at least until economies of scale drove down their price. They fit wonderfully and look great. I'm totally willing to pay an extra $20 to know that the materials are completely organic and not many chemicals have been used in the manufacturing process. I think it's cadmium that's used in the demin process, which is an incredibly toxic chemical for our water streams. Even Levi's Eco's extra parts like the buttons are chosen with an eco-friendly outlook. For example, the label is made from recycled cardboard, the dye is from natural compounds, apparently even the buttons are from coconut husk. Go figure! I hope Levi's does this with all of their products eventually! I also like how they've slightly tweaked their new tagline to, "Quality and responsiblity never go out of style."
