I've had a Working Assets credit card since 2002, joining them over my credit union because of the green and progressive causes they support. It was important to me.
But this has been my cost.
I currently pay 27% interest on my Working Assets card and $250 in various other fees all though Bank of America. I don't have a high balance, and have at worst, been 30 days late owing to a family emergency.
Please think twice about it. You can help progressive causes by writing a check and not blow your credit. Personally, I am going to get rid of my Working Assets card and go with my credit union who have more reasonable consumer-friendly rates.

I love Working Assets, have had long distance phone service with them for about 10 years. I also have had their credit card for almost as long. I applaud everything they do, but one complaint is that when they changed (or merged) banks to MBNA, I now get those convenience checks in the mail. I called WA to complain and they were nice enough, but I guess the problem lies with MBNA, who I'm no fan of. I don't want any unsolicited mail from MBNA, I'll take my bill and that's it. Save the trees!

I have had my working assets visa card for about 4 years now, and have had zero complaints. With every purchase I make, 10 cents are donated to causes ranging from reproductive rights to environmental issues. In addition, there is no annual fee with the card and interest, which I generally try to avoid regardless, is low. It's also bright green and purple, which is fun and gets peoples' attention. They're like, "what kind of card is that?!?" and then you get to say oh it's this cool one that donates money to charities every time I use it.
I recommend this credit card to everyone who somewhat reluctantly participates in the consumer world but wants to make a difference too! It's true, getting free flights, TVs, or vacations are nice, but this just feels better to me.
