Non-electric, hand-cranked washing machine.
Great product. I'm able to wash small loads, quickly and easily. It's nothing more than a seal-tight tank that you turn manually with a hand-crank. The pressure built up inside (as a result of the hot water and the sealed lid) force the soapy water through the fabric for a thorough wash. I then use the water to water my shrubs (note: I use biodegradable detergent). I finish by hang-drying my clothes...just like nature intended :) No electricity used. No wastewater into the sewage system. And it's an enjoyable process that helps me get more in touch with my clothes, water, and earth.
