Biodynamic Pioneers - Weleda

I sent for a copy of the "we lifestyle magazine". It arrived on Saturday, so over the weekend I took some time to read up on Weleda's 86 year history, what they believe about being in harmony with nature and mankind, and how they, in collaboration with their farming partners, produce the hightest quality of holist medicinals.

I had no idea that they produce over 4,000 homeopathic and anthroposophic medicines, and over 100 personal care products. Weleda has 135 organic and biodynamic gardens throughout the world where they cultivate 300 plant species. They maintain 10 fair trade partnerships.

In Weleda's summer/fall issue they have an excellent article about oils, fats, and the hazards of using products with petroleum-based ingredients. Another informative article featured in 'we' is about the healing power of arnica. For years, I have used sublingual Arnica Montana for strained muscle recovery and as a pre-flight chill-pill. I learned that one of Weleda's fair trade partners wild-harvests arnica montana grown in protected natural reservations for Weleda's products such as their Arnica Massage Oil. "Toasting Biodynamics" features Frey Vineyard, the United States first certified biodynamic winery and largest all-organic vineyard.

I highly recommend subscribing to their free small-format magazine, which comes with product coupons in the back.
