Whole Foods

I do enjoy going to whole foods occasionally. But there are a few things that I think need to be pointed out.

There food is not always locally grown, and locally grown food is essential if you wish to try to eat as sustainable as possible, even more so than buying organic.

There also has been some concern that they haven't been posting warnings about mercury that could be in their sea food.

They do have labour issues, but I will just mention that they carry only a limited amount of Fair Trade products.

There is also very limited transparancys about GMO's. In fact, much of their food isn't organic.

Much of their foods will also show ingredients, but no information on nutrition.

I won't say don't shop there if you haven't been already, But I wouldn't use it as a place to do all of my shopping.

Whole Foods

It is whole foods organic balsamic vinegar. They mixed it with strawberries and let them soak. I never thought of this combination but after trying it I have to say I really liked them and they will go great with a salad

Variety and Freshness. Salads are excellent. The fact that you can make your own salad is great. Their soups are a cut above. I love the different varieties of fruits and the fact that there are often samples. They have a nice selection of flowers and flower pots and arrangements. Their on the pricey side. I buy all the cheap things at Trader Joes and get everything else at Whole Foods... the best of both worlds!!!!
