love/hate relationship
My friend works for WF, and since I've been spending so much $ there, I finally bought a few of their shares. I like their employee incentive program. I agree WF is pricier than competitors, but I prefer to save resources and do one-stop shopping here and at 3 of their other locations. I can't always find organic produce on my list, at least corn and some fruits. I wish they'd stock more local brands/produce, such as the Angelic Organic CSA. I also wish they'd be a bit more stringent with products they sell, since it's disheartening to see Tropicana on the shelf. I stopped shopping at Dominick's to avoid those mainstream non-organic brands! I am suspicious of those brands now promoting their lines of organics, just for market share. WF needs to stay local and sustainable and organic. Just because a product is labelled 'natural' doesn't mean much. They need to stop using plastic, and be consistent with what they stock on the shelves, so I can find my beloved tomato cream cheese.

Whole Foods
Whole foods offers a great variety of organic foods. They also offer many green products that you would not expect to find at a food store. Unfortunately, they are a bit pricey, and don't fit into everyone's budget.

I really love to shop there but a couple of things are really annoying. First,the parking problem.Generally,there isn't any parking. you have to wait in line. Second, they put too much pepper in the ready to eat foods. Finally, often they are more expensive than other WFs.
For these reasons I now shop more at the Oak Park or the Ashland store.
