Why do we need to recycle Plastic, Rubber, and Aluminum

Plastics lasts forever. They don't breakdown easily so that if you make something with plastic and you don't like it, it won't ever go back into the environment and will be trash forever.

Rubber does break down slowly, but most of the rubber in the world comes from Indonesia and they burn natural growth forests to clear land to make rubber plantations. That's a lot of burning and a lot of carbon dioxide that goes into the air, never mind the natural ecology and plants and animals that die from it.

Aluminum needs a lot of energy in order to refine it from raw materials. That's energy that the world currently gets from fossil fuels. The tragedy of aluminum is that a lot energy and money could be saved if it wasn't thrown away. A good amount of aluminum could be recycled instead of thrown away in the landfill, thus reducing energy consumption and pollution from generating electricity
