This is the future of wind power

I've done a bit of research on this design after learning about it earlier this spring and I have to admit I think it represents the future of wind power. This specific hybrid drag/lift design has the ability to be scaled to a point where the swept area substantially exceeds the design limits of horizontal systems. Even at 30% efficiency, robust vertical systems like these could be scaled up to a point where a single unit could produce the equivalent of an entire windfarm of Vestas and at only a fraction of the cost. Maybe $.01 for a clean kwh isnt so far off after all!
