Just traded a '03 Tribute gas hog for a Zap Xebra Sedan

It's the most fulfilling purchase I've ever made. The best decision in my life was giving it to Jesus Christ. The second best was getting married to the woman he chose for me. The third best decision is trading for the zap. It has instantly given my wife and I more financial freedom by saving us 300 dollars a month, and I got a $400 check back from the insurance company, as the insurance is only $285 a month. I love it. I've been all over Fort Myers Florida on one over night charge with the radio going. Oh and no more CDs, I have all my cds in a flash drive and can find all albums with the head unit that came with the car. I have the only orange and black one I think, but all the fans of 60s muscle cars love it. I am also very passionate about politics, religion, and helping people and my country and this car gives me a voice. I'm not interested in being a celebrity, but my wife likes to wave at everyone at every thumbs up, knod, or wave we get. Now we are betting on how many people will be standing around our car when we get out of the grocery store. But this car teaches you to pace yourself and actually enjoy driving. Not a good car for hills or mountain towns. Luckily, I'm in Florida. So this car is perfect. And all you in the beautiful plains of the midwest. This is the car for you. I'm getting together a Zap car club to have shows and network here in Florida. Call Ryan at 727-798-1101 if you are interested or have any questions at all.

the basic "working person" like me would think a Xebra would be perfect, but...

...right now with the current (no pun intended) :) money situation we are living directly my hand to my childrens mouth. my wife is unable to work. and im living on butter 'n' bread to keep the empty space outta my gut..im not typing this to tug at your heart strings. however, i went to "alibaba.com and found xebras for around $6720.00. Now, since your a growing corperation, and are ordering the xebras and your other products in bulk, I'm fairley sure your aquiring the xebras at a fair discount. If you truely care about this wonderful planet of ours, dont you think you should make your products more affordable for the common person, or have you gone the way of the "big three" GM, CHRISTLER, FORD. Any more the common person can't afford a four year old car much less a new one. and a Xebra though a wonderful vehicle, but just outta our league.but I guess thats the life of the underlings.

I thank you for your time,

William Stewart

The Zap Car

I think this car really works well! It is less money to register because it is only 3-wheeled, and I really would value owning one. I hope I can purchase this car in the future when I have enough money to buy such an incredible automobile. Thank you Zap!

Love this car

The Zap Xebra Electric Car. I love this car. Here are some of the reasons why this works for me:

• It is totally silent when it is on.
• You can fit 13 kids in it.
• It is manufactured in China.
• Companies like UPS and Domino’s Pizza are using them to make their deliveries. Companies are finally getting on board with using electric cars.
• The Zap plugs right into a regular wall outlet.
• I could use this to haul my books to the Post Office to mail to my customers. I am a bookseller.

Right now I drive a Toyota Avalon. But I would be more than glad to trade it in for the Zap Car or Truck. Zap if you are listening, I want the Lipstick Red color.

Fastest Zero Emission Vehicle under $15,000

The Zap Xebra car may not be fast enough to take the highway, but this is not a neighborhood electric vehicle. Technically the Xebra is classified as a motorcycle because it has three wheels, which means that it does not have to comply with all the safety regulations as a car. Still, the Xebra is fully enclosed and the driving experience is much more like driving a conventional car than a motorcycle. The vehicle has a top speed of 40 mph and can go about 25 miles on a charge. The Xebra uses sealed lead-acid batteries, which should last about 3 years and cost $1200 to replace (6 x $200). The design of the vehicle might make you think of the old VW Beatle from the 1960's. This unique style helps the vehicle have that environmentally friendly look that tells people that you are driving a non-gasoline car. Obviously the number one reason to drive this vehicle is because it is very efficient and does not use any fossil fuels. Apparently the Xebra has a 160 MPG gas equivalency! This means that driving a Xebra will help the United State become independent from foreign oil, help national security, help fight global warming, and save consumers money by switching to a more affordable energy source. Also, the Xebra has an affordable price tag of just over 10K, which means it is a lot less money than a GM Yukon. In fact, for about the same amount of money as a Yukon you could buy a Prius and a Xebra, and then you would basically have a plug-in hybrid with an all electric range of over 20 miles and your overall mileage would be much better.

The benefits of the Xebra definitely out-weight the negatives. Isn't oil and the health of the globe our biggest concerns right now? more »

STOP THE WAR FOR OIL

The world leaders today fight for the control of fossil fuels. This is a resource of limited access and great demand. Therefore, those who have an abundance of oil strive to control the worlds way of living on a day to day basis. Even demanding what religion you and I should practice. Are you tired of hearing about this struggle?

ZAP has moved us one step closer to complete independence from the oil mongrals, as well as creating a healthier environment for our children. They have created a product which never uses gas or oil. Their all electric car will change the way we think about our world. Relatively inexpensive, this car saves you money right form the start without prolonging the pain at the pump.

The Xebra sedan, built for you and your family, offers your best around town solution. It's unique style combined with its utilitarian desine will turn heads as you turn the corner toward a better tomorrow.

History shows while demand grows for a product, overall costs will go down as performance and design will improve. We need your help to jump start that demand. Buy one of our own products, buy it today, and buy it for the solutions of tomorrow.

I need the Xebra

I have been reading about the Zap xebra and I think it woould be graet for me as I am an Art teacher in Kansas and I am in the perfect position to instill "living Green" to children. I am also an artist and sculptor. I do not make much money but I would love to figure out a way to get one of these. I drive 10 miles to work and 10 back, and the school said I could plug in during the day. If anyone at ZapUSA would be willing to contact me, that would be great. I would like to trade a sculpture and do some free advertising for Zap in order to get one of these fantastic vehicles.

Michael, You really shouldn't have offered to trade one of your sculptures. Just sell one of them at a good auction house and pay cash for the Xebra. Any remaining proceeds from the sale to put an end to world... more »

Affordable Electric Vehicle!

I bought a Zap Xebra Sedan in mid December. It's a fully electric, 4-seat, 4-door, 3-wheeled car that costs about $10,000. I drive it around the neighborhood and then just plug it in at night to a 110 outlet at my home or office. The Xebra is registered and insured as a motorcycle (due to the 3 wheels) but does not require a motorcycle license or helmet to drive it. It's tiny, but can hold 4 adults (up to 500lbs), and is perfect for driving to the grocery store in the rain, or for hauling kids around. I love the reaction I get driving what looks like a stuffed animal down the street (I got the zebra-striped model). Some downsides: It's not legal for freeway driving. The car boasts 40 MPH and 40 miles per charge, but I have had some challenges meeting those promises; the spedometer is set about 7 miles short of actual speed (it reads 30mph but is going only about 22mph), which throws off actual mileage count. Also as I live on the top of a hill, if I fail to charge the car every night, even if I've only gone 8 miles, I can't get it up the hill the next day (this could be due to the cold right now). I had to install a dedicated 20amp outlet to charge it so it wouldn't blow my circuits. There is quite a rickety-ness to the Xebra, and there is no real heat in the car, but as long as I remember that it's a motorcycle, that doesn't bother me. It's warmer, drier, safer and can carry way more than a motorcycle PLUS it's all electric, and since I purchase all wind power at my house, the car is run by the wind! I love my Xebra. I purchased a vanity plate that reads: CHOOSE!

Electric car

Very interesting product. Environmentally sound; less dependent on petroleum. A win-win for both the consumer and environment.

I'VE BEEN ZAPPED BY THE ZEBRA

THIS CAR IS MORE THAN AN IDEA WHOSE TIME HAS COME. IT'S A VOTE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE LIVING.

WHEN I DRIVE MY NEW ZAP, IT WILL BE A STATEMENT TO THE WORLD THAT I AM A CONSCIOUS CONSUMER.

EVERYWHERE I GO PEOPLE WILL CHEER AND ASK ME WHERE THEY CAN GET THEIR ZAP. I WILL TELL THEM TO CALL THE COMPANY...CHECK OUT ALL THE VEHICLES...OR ENTER A CONTEST TO WIN
THE CAR CALLED ZAP. THAT'S WHAT I DID...
THANK YOU, SUSTAINLANE. I AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!!

the Zebra Car

I think that it is a great idea! And it is something I could afford if I was retired. Unfortunately, I have to drive on the freeway to get to my work so I must use a regular vehicle. I checked into the price of the previous but $26,000 is way too much! In three years, when I have retired, I will look into purchasing one of these. I think that the 'truck' will probably be what I am interested in so that I can haul things around.

TheZAP!

The Zap electric car is a wonderful innovation! It uses electricity to run, it doesn't pollute the environment. It gets about 40 per use, which makes it ideal as a run around car. What a great way to get your errands run, but not task the environment!
